Fifty years ago, getting this information would have taken a drive up Grave Creek, a little bit of travel on the Ski-doo Alpines, the June 1 measurement of the snow course, and Jay Penney setting the data on paper. Now I can get the information from my living room.

As you can see, Stahl usually has snow until July. The year has been close to average at Stahl, but the melt looks like it’s a little earlier than normal.
