I saw this map on Newsweek (the entire article is at https://www.newsweek.com/map-shows-h-1b-visa-filings-democratic-republican-districts-12307480 and I encourage you to read it. Before I retired, I was frequently running across H-1b holders in jobs where there were plenty of competent Americans to perform. Obviously, as a retiree in NW Montana, that hasn’t been the case for over 10 years.
