Here’s a quote that shows how their attempt was regarded at the Supreme Court: “The majority opinion stated that “Hawaii’s claim that this tainted artifact illuminates the original understanding of the right to keep and bear arms cannot be taken seriously.” Justice Barrett’s concurring opinion was even harsher: “It is beyond me why Hawaii would claim that these vile laws can justify its present-day restriction.”
It surprises me that otherwise intelligent people can’t quite understand the phrase “shall not be infringed.”
