Written by local authors, the performance was a series of 1 act plays connected by setting. This year, the Anthology of plays was centered around the counter and titled If These Walls Could Talk.

The performance was divided into two acts, the first being historical in setting and the second being set in modern day. Plays ranged from historical to comedic.

Act 1 began with Planning the American Revolution, written by the late John LaBonty. Followed by Last Call for Murder, written by Adrian Miller, What’s Cooking by Sharon LaBonty, and ending with Camping Gear written by Nancy Haugen.

Act 2 began with the play Witches or Dishes written by Danica Cate. Ethel White starred as a customer so obnoxious as to cause a diner to experience chronic employee turnover

This was followed by The Dream, written by Madeline Richards-Schlarman.

The series closed in the Grisly Spoon Diner, with Sweaty Palms and Chili Bombs, written by Lisa Priller.

The Anthology closed with an interview with the authors. Folks interested in writing a play should contact Sharon LaBonty. The workshop will start in September, with performances in the spring.
